1. fertilize all plants with all purpose fertilizer

2. order herbs, start in garage window

3. pick up garden bed parts

4. prepare garden bed site

April 2009

1. plant bulbs

2. sow seeds for carrots, sunflowers, watermelon. sow seeds for flowers

3. plant herbs in garden bed

4. plant first harvest of spring vegetables in garden bed (carrots, leeks, and peppers, and watermelon)

5. set up drip irrigation.

May 2009

1. (early May) plant onions

2. (early May) sow heirloom carrot seeds directly into garden

3. (late May) plant mid-season vegetables (spinach, onion, more carrots, eggplant, potatoes)
